Our Team
Come meet our warm and caring team to discover what makes our approach to pediatric dentistry truly unique.
Get to Know Dr. Doug
Dr. Doug earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage before achieving his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in Puerto Rico. He then completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Doug currently serves our country and community in the Alaska Army National Guard.
Dr. Doug greatly values continuing education and has spent many hours learning the newest techniques in treating pediatric patients and how to keep kids comfortable and safe during all procedures, especially during procedures involving sedation.
Outside the office, Dr. Doug loves spending time with his family and exploring the Alaskan outdoors. Whether he’s hunting, fishing, or just soaking up the fresh air. Dr. Doug loves spending time in his hometown by giving back to his community and is excited to give back as a pediatric dentist in Palmer!

Bethany Mitchell
Office Manager
Bethany is a born-and-raised Alaska gal — her family has been living here since 1935! Her great-grandparents were a part of the colonization project, and were allotted what is now the Reindeer Farm! After high school, she proudly served in the U.S. military, and later discovered her love for dental care.
Fun fact: Bethany has a Bachelor of Arts in History! She originally wanted to go into teaching, but serving her patients here at VPD has been such a rewarding career that she never gave teaching a second thought. She’s so excited to be part of the team at VPD because she truly believes Dr. Doug has a passion for what he does!
In her free time, Bethany lives for hiking, being outdoors, and treasuring time with her wonderful daughter and son.
Chelsey Webber-Wing
